StrategiCom speaks at inaugural Singapore Brand Conference

The Singapore Brand Conference, supported by SPRING Singapore and the Singapore Business Federation, with strategic partners - Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME), Marketing Institute of Singapore, Marshall Cavendish, StrategiCom, and YourChoice magazine, and organised by Think Asia Global, was held on 28 March 2007 at the prestigious Meritus Mandarin Hotel. Not your typical brand conference, the Singapore Brand Conference featured thought leaders and gurus with real experience and expertise in building true blue Singapore brands. StrategiCom is proud to have been invited to speak at this highly successful brand conference, attracting over 200 key decision makers and senior management from homegrown companies.

Having the privilege of speaking alongside powerhouses such as Mr. Stephen Lee, Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, and Mr. Loh Khum Yean, Chief Executive of SPRING Singapore, principal consultants Dr Wilson Chew and Jacky Tai further reinforced StrategiCom's position as a leading B2B Branding Strategy Consulting Company. Presenting the findings of the SBF-StrategiCom B2B Branding Study for Globalisation to the public for the first time, Group Principal Consultant and CEO Dr Wilson Chew guided delegates through an insightful survey findings on what it takes for Singapore companies to be shortlisted and eventually appointed by large global companies. This survey, commissioned by the Singapore Business Federation and managed by StrategiCom, is the most extensive and comprehensive survey conducted locally interviewing more than 300 large global companies with operations in Singapore.

"Thanks for taking us through the findings of a study that surveyed 300 MNCs on factors that are important for B2B branding for globalisation. Your sharing was insightful and interesting," Jennifer Tan, Lecturer (School of Business Management) at Nanyang Polytechnic. In conjunction with Dr Wilson Chew and Jacky Tai's new branding book, "Transforming your Business into a Brand", Principal Consultant Jacky Tai spoke on an evergreen topic - "The 10 Rules of Branding". This session was very well received by delegates as it covered the root branding problems faced by many Singapore companies.

Practical experiences from case studies of successful Singapore brands were presented and deliberated, much to the delight of the delegates."It is a great joy listening to Jacky speak at Singapore Brand conference. The Singapore Brand Conference also comprised of panel discussions featuring Drew & Napier, The Hour Glass, Vega Foods, SingTel, Eu Yan Sang and other renowned Singapore brands.

Brand protection through intellectual property rights and public relations in brand building were some of the other topics covered in this 1-day power-packed conference.
