Dr Wilson Chew is the Group Principal Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of StrategiCom. As the founding partner of the firm, Wilson has advised clients in a range of industries – including Business Services, Commodities Trading, Electronics Manufacturing, Energy, Information Technology, Medical & Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Precision Engineering – helping to transform medium-sized enterprises into global brands.

Prior to his current role, Wilson was the Managing Director of Effective Concepts – a corporate event management company which he founded and eventually divested to a global events marketing group.

Wilson is an active participant in many international fora including the APEC Summit Business Leaders Meeting in Melbourne. He is also a prolific writer, authoring more than 80 articles on branding, organisational strategy, building corporate trust, and the issues and opportunities facing SMEs and family businesses. He is the co-author of “Transforming Your Business Into A Brand – The 10 Rules Of Branding” and “Killer Differentiators – 13 Strategies to grow Your Brand” – both were published by Marshall Cavendish Publication (2007 and 2008 respectively).

In the areas of research and contribution to new knowledge, Wilson has led 6 industrial and national research projects throughout Asia and globally:

Wilson is the Honorary Executive Director of the National Arthritis Foundation of Singapore. He sits on various other community executive committees which are dedicated to bettering the quality of life for the less fortunate.

He is an appointed mentor for SMEs at the Singapore Business Federation. Wilson is also an adjunct professor to The Symbiosis University, India and a course facilitator for iLEAP, an executive leadership course managed by the Singapore Management University for non-profit leaders.

In 2009, Wilson was honoured with the prestigious Brand Leadership Award at the 17th Asia Brand Congress in Mumbai - putting him in the same league as authors Renee Mauborgne and Joseph Michelli; and Huang Eng Cheng, Singapore Airlines’ vice president for marketing. Professor Mauborgne is co-author of Blue Ocean Strategy, while Dr Michelli wrote The Starbucks Experience.

Wilson is a scholar with a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from The University of South Australia. He is a scuba dive-master and a golfer. He is married with a daughter.
